Signal 3 for maritime ports

DHAKA, May 22, 2025 (BSS) - The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number three as squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of the country.

"Deep convection is taking place over the North Bay and adjoining areas. Squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh," said a special weather bulletin of Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number three, the bulletin added.

All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to come close to coast and proceed till further notice.
