Soka University confers honorary doctorate on Prof Yunus

TOKYO, May 30, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus today received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Soka University. 

He was conferred the honorary degree in recognition of his contributions to social innovation and global development. 

Prof Yunus also delivered an address to a distinguished audience at Soka University in Tokyo. 

President of Soka University Suzuki also spoke on the occasion. 

Wrapping up his Japan visit, the chief adviser will depart Tokyo for Singapore enroute to Dhaka tomorrow morning by a Singapore Airlines flight.

He is expected to reach home late at night on the day.

On May 27 last, Prof Yunus arrived in Tokyo on a four-day Japan tour.
