PM joins doa mahfil for late mother of social welfare minister

DHAKA, May 13, 2026 (BSS)- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has attended a doa mahfil for the departed soul of Begum Jebunnesa, late mother of Social Welfare, Women and Children Affairs Minister Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain.

The premier joined the prayer at Gulshan Azad Mosque after Asr prayers today, PM’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman said.

During the event, the Prime Minister raised his hands to the Almighty Allah and sought His mercy and forgiveness for the departed soul of Jebunnesa.
Begum Jebunnesa breathed her last on May 6 at the age of 83.
