Heat wave likely continue over parts of country

DHAKA, March 29, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department BMD) has predicted the heat wave will continue sweeping over parts of the country and it will further spread in coming days.

Meanwhile, a severe heat wave is sweeping over Jashore and Sirajganj districts and Dhaka and Barishal divisions and the rest parts of Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and Moulvibazar, Brahmanbaria and Rangamati districts are experiencing mild to moderate heat wave, said a BMD bulletin issued by meteorologist KH Hafizur Rahman today.

The weatherman predicted the day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall slightly over the country in 24 hours, beginning from 9:00am today.

He forecast weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

The highest temperature 41.0 degree Celsius was recorded in Jashore on Friday. Country's lowest temperature 19.6 degree Celsius has been recorded in Rajshahi district today.

The sun will set at 6:13 pm today and will rise at 5:53 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
