Tk 2.3 cr allocated to serve improved diet to on-duty security forces on Eid day

DHAKA, March 29, 2025 (BSS) - The government has allocated Taka 2.3 crore for serving improved food to the on-duty members of police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Ansar and VDP and Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr, according to a notification issued here today.
 
"The government allocated the amount to meet the expenses of serving improved food to members of the police, BGB, Ansar and VDP and Bangladesh Coast Guard who are responsible for patrolling, checking posts and joint operations to maintain law and order in various important places across the country including Dhaka," it said.
 
Of the total allocation, Bangladesh Police will get Tk one crore, while BGB Tk 40 lakh, Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Tk 60 lakh and Bangladesh Coast Guard Tk 3 lakh.
 
No money can be spent in excess of the allocated amount and all financial regulations must be strictly followed, it said adding that proper accounts must be maintained and submitted to the Public Security Division for audit purpose.
 
The Public Security Division will not shoulder the audit objection, if any. The unspent money (if any) should be sent by June 30 next, the notification added.
