Mild to moderate heat wave sweeps over parts of country

DHAKA, March 30, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today said that a mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over different parts of the country and may abate some places.

"Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and the districts of Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Barishal and Patukhali and it may abate some places", said a BMD bulletin issued this morning commencing 9am.

Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, the bulletin added.

The highest temperature 39.4 degrees Celsius was recorded at Jashore in Khulna division on Saturday. Country's lowest temperature 16.8 degree Celsius has been recorded at Rajshahi in Rajshahi division today.

The sun will set at 6:14 pm today and will rise at 5:52 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
