Met office forecasts dry weather

DHAKA, May 05, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has (BMD) predicted the weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country during the next 24 hours, beginning from 9:00am today.

It also forecast rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind over one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

Weatherman Md. Shaheenul Islam predicted day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

However, the highest temperature 35.8 degrees Celsius was recorded in Baghabari in Rajshahi division on Sunday. The lowest temperature 21.5 degrees Celsius has been recorded at Dimla in Rangpur division today.

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:30pm today and rise at 5:21am tomorrow.
