MoU signed for LNG payment to QatarEnergy

DHAKA, May 05, 2025 (BSS) - Petrobangla today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh Krishi Bank for making 50 percent invoices payment to QatarEnergy for LNG import.

The government has a long term contract with QatarEnergy for importing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), according to a Petrobangla.

It said Secretary of Petrobangla Md Amzad Hossain and Deputy General Manager of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Ashish Kumar Das signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.

Director of Petrobangla AKM Mizanur Rahman presided over the MoU signing ceremony while General Manager, Dhaka Division of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Golam Md Arif and General Manager of Petrobangla Md Abdul Jalil along with officials concerned were present on the occasion.
