DHAKA, May 5, 2025 (BSS) – Home Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has sounded a note of warning that none would be spared if found involved in recurrence of attacks on NCP leader Hasnat Abdullah.

“No one who tries to commit such incident again will be spared,” he said.

He was replying to a question after coming out of a bilateral meeting with Italian Interior Affairs Minister Matteo Piantedosi at the conference room of the Home Ministry at Bangladesh Secretariat here this afternoon.

The Home Adviser also said, “Fifty-four people have already been arrested in this connection.”

Earlier on Sunday evening, National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Organizer (Southern region) Hasnat Abdullah came under terror attack while travelling by a vehicle through Gazipur.

The incident took place at around 7:00 pm on Sunday at the Chandna intersection area on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway while Hasnat was travelling to Dhaka by a vehicle.
The vehicle was vandalized and Hasnat sustained injuries to his arm during the attack.
