DMP files 2,185 cases for traffic rule violations

DHAKA, May 13, 2025 (BSS) - As part of its ongoing campaign to bring the traffic system under control, the Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed a total of 2,185 cases against vehicles, owners, and drivers for violating traffic rules.

The cases were filed and fines were realized on May 12 during regular drives against traffic rule violators, according to a press release issued today.

The DMP release stated that 201 vehicles were dumped and 87 others were towed during the campaign.

It further said that such drives will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
