JU and DIU sign MoU for collaborative education, research

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, MAY 20, 2025 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) authorities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Daffodil International University (DIU), aiming to foster research and academic collaboration. 

JU Treasurer Prof Dr M Abdur Rab and Daffodil International University Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr S M Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institution in the council room of the new administrative building this afternoon.

The signing ceremony was attended by JU VC Prof Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan, JU Pro-VC (Academic) Prof Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman, Prof Dr. M. R. Kabir of DIU's Civil Engineering department, Prof Dr. Md. Kabirul Islam, dean of DIU's Faculty of Graduate Studies, Prof Dr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, director of DIU's External Affairs, Prof Liza Sharmin, dean of DIU's Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Prof Dr. Aleya.

Addressing the event, JU VC Prof Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan said, "This agreement will broaden the scope of mutual cooperation between the two institutions. The faculty members, students and researchers will be able to exchange necessary information and collaborate on various academic matters."

Under the MoU, both universities will engage in bilateral cooperation in education and research, as well as participate in seminars, workshops and other academic activities.
