DHAKA, May 20, 2025 (BSS) – The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a statement today sounded a note of warning that they would not tolerate anymore if anyone tries to take law into their own hands.

““If anyone takes the law into their one’s own hands and creates an anarchic situation in future, it will not be tolerated in any way,” the DMP warned.

The DMP has once again requested all concerned to refrain from taking the law into their own hands and to cooperate with the police in carrying out their duties with respect for the law.

If any person intentionally harasses anyone unnecessarily or tries to fulfil personal interests by violating the law, they are requested to immediately inform the National Emergency Service 999 or the nearest police station, the statement said.

The statement was issued following an incident that some people were trying to forcefully enter into a house on Dhanmondi Road 4 by breaking the gate of the house around 12:30am today.
