CHATTOGRAM, May 30, 2025 (BSS) - Adviser to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Affairs and the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs Farooq-e-Azam Bir Pratik today said the world has become hopeful through humanistic philosophy of microcredit.
"A new economic system in world - microcredit and social business - has been invented from Chattogram. This humanistic economic philosophy has surprised and given hope to the world," he said.
The adviser said this while speaking as the chief guest at the '7th Economics Olympiad 2025', Chattogram Chapter, organised by Chattogram College.
Former adviser to the caretaker government and chairman of the Bangladesh Economics Olympiad Dr. Hossain Zillur Rahman presided over the event while Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain, Rohingya Refugee Relief and Repatriation Chairman Mizanur Rahman, and Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam, among others, were present.
