Abdul Hafiz asks to complete Dhaka-Ashulia expressway project

DHAKA, July 31, 2025 (BSS) - Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Defense and National Integration Development Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Hafiz today asked the officials concerned to complete remaining work of the Dhaka-Ashulia expressway project within the stipulated time.

He gave the instruction while visiting different parts of the Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway and ramps of Tongi Flyover under the Bus Raid Transit (BRT) in the city.

Later, Abdul Hafiz exchanged views with the officials when progress of construction of a bus ramp from Mohakhali Bus Terminal, work on elevated expressway from BFDC gate to Kutubkhali section, work of the elevated expressway from Ashulia to the airport, progress of the remaining work of the ramp at Abdullahpur point of Tongi flyover, and repairing work of the roads under the BRT project at Abdullahpur, Azampur and Airport Road (Uttara) areas were discussed.

Secretary of Bridges Division and Executive Director of Bangladesh Bridges Authority Mohammad Abdur Rouf was present.

Chief Engineer of Bangladesh Bridge Authority, directors of different projects, officials of the Road Transport and Highways Department, Dhaka North City Corporation, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority, Dhaka Bus Rapid Transit PLC, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Traffic) and other concerned officials were present.
