BSF pushes 9 including 3 children into Bangladesh

PANCHAGAR, August 1, 2025 (BSS) - The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) pushed at least nine individuals including three children into Bangladesh through different borders here in the district last night.

Of them, a woman along with her three children was pushed in through Banglabandha border in Tentulia. Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members on duty detained them inside Bangladesh territory.

At the same time, the BSF handed over a woman, detained from Shiliguri, over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) formally, said BGB-18 Commander Lieutenant Colonel Monirul Islam.

He said the BGB held a company commander level meeting with the BSF and later the BSF handed over the woman to them.

Apart from this, five women were pushed into Bangladesh through borders along Haribhasa area of Sadar upazila, said Sadar police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdullah Hil Zaman.
 
He said legal procedure is underway.

Zaman said that the BSF pushed in 157 individuals including children into Bangladesh through different borders of the district during the last three months.
