DMP files 1422 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, Oct 23, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1422 cases across the capital for violating traffic rules.

This information was confirmed in a press release issued here today signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

It said the DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines during the last one day on October 22 through regular drives against traffic rule breakers.

During the drive, a total of 239 vehicles were impounded and 85 others were towed. 

The DMP information further said the drive will continue to bring discipline on Dhaka's streets.
