
KHULNA, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) – A total of 20,395 examinees have applied for re-evaluation of 36,205 answer scripts following the publication of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination results under the Jashore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
Board Controller Professor Abdul Matin told BSS today that the applications were submitted within the stipulated period between October 17 and 23.
He said the Jashore Education Board recorded a 50.20 percent pass rate in the HSC examinations this year. A total of 1,12,574 students, including 56,601 girls, took part in the examinations held at 240 centres across 575 educational institutions in 10 districts under the board.
Of them, 56,509 students, including 31,608 girls, have passed this year. A total of 5,995 students, including 3,515 girls, secured GPA-5 among the total passed students in the examination.
This year, girls outperformed boys in both the overall pass rate and in achieving GPA-5, with 55.84 percent of girls passing compared to 44.49 percent of boys, and 3,515 girls securing GPA-5 against 2,480 boys.
However, no student from 20 colleges under the board managed to pass the examinations this year.
On October 16, the results were officially announced at a press conference held at the Jashore Education Board auditorium by the JEB chairman, Professor Dr. Mosammat Asma Begum.
