
KHULNA, Oct 27, 2025 (BSS) – Khulna University (KU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Rezaul Karim has urged teachers to work together to enhance education and research for achieving the university’s academic excellence.
He made the call while holding separate exchange meetings with senior professors, assistant professors, and lecturers at the university’s Liaquat Ali Auditorium on Sunday afternoon.
During the meetings, faculty members highlighted several issues, including the need for increased research funding, improvement of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum, resolution of internet and workspace problems, and more training opportunities for young teachers.
They also proposed easing rules for postdoctoral studies abroad and introducing a separate category for junior faculty members in the Vice-Chancellor’s Award.
In his speech, Professor Karim said laboratories and computer facilities would be expanded across all disciplines. He announced the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) training for teachers and called for the optimal use of central laboratory resources.
He assured that the university would continue to make progress through efficient management and teamwork despite limited funds.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Md Harunur Rashid Khan, Treasurer Professor Dr Md Nurunnabi, and Acting Registrar Professor Dr S M Mahbubur Rahman also spoke on the occasion.
