British Council accords reception to 141 teachers

DHAKA, Oct 27, 2025 (BSS) – The British Council has accorded a reception to 141 teachers from its 26 partner schools, recognizing their contribution to the quality development of English medium education in Bangladesh.

The reception, titled ‘British Council Partner Schools Teachers Recognition Award-2025’, was held at a city hotel on Sunday.

These teachers, who successfully completed the annual training programme run by the British Council, participated in the reception. Of them, 115 are from 18 schools in the capital, 19 from Chittagong, and 7 from Sylhet.

In a welcome speech, Maxim Raiman, Exams Director at the British Council Bangladesh, said, “We have been able to bring together more than 100 teachers from across Bangladesh on this platform, which reflects our strong commitment to professional development in the education sector. We are grateful for the relentless cooperation of our partner schools.”

“This achievement is a symbol of our collective efforts and will play a more effective role in preparing students in the future,” he added.

Talal Mir, Regional Business Development Director for South Asia at the British Council, also spoke at the function as the special guest. British Council Bangladesh Master Trainer Sana Shahid delivered a presentation on the success of the annual training programme.

The British Council will also organize two more award distribution programmes – one in Chittagong on October 28 and another in Sylhet on November 8.
