DSHE issues letter to stop appointing principals in private educational institutions

DHAKA, Oct 28, 2025 (BSS) - The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has issued a letter to implement a decision of the Ministry of Education of suspending the recruitment for the posts of principal and assistant principal of private educational institutions. 

The DSHE has sent a letter in this regard to all regional directors of secondary and higher education, deputy directors of schools and inspection branches, and senior system analysts of the EMIS cell on Monday.

The letter stated that, as per the instructions of the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education, a request has been made to take necessary measures in accordance with the office order regarding the suspension of recruitment activities for the posts of principal and assistant principal (principal, vice-principal, head teacher, assistant head teacher, superintendent and assistant superintendent) of private educational institutions.
