Seminar on Cashless Bangladesh held at KU

KHULNA, Oct 30 (BSS)- A seminar on Cashless Bangladesh Initiative (Expansion of Bangla QR Transactions) was held at Khulna University (KU) on Tuesday.

Bangladesh Bank and Sonali Bank PLC jointly organized the seminar. 

Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof. Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim attended the seminar as the chief guest. Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Harunur Rashid Khan, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank Khulna Office Md. Rukonuzzaman, Sonali Bank Deputy Managing Director Md. Rafiqul spoke, among others, on the occasion with Director of Bangladesh Bank Khulna Office Matiar Rahman Molya in the chair.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim underscore the need for quick expansion of the cashless services up to consumer level to make their life easy.

He also laid importance on addressing the challenges of digital fraud to build a cashless Bangladesh. Enhanced security systems and greater public awareness are essential to prevent such crimes, he noted.
