Under the approved project, HSTU aims to establish modern and sustainable educational infrastructure across the campus.

Major construction plans include a 12-storey academic building, residential halls for male and female students, a teacher-staff housing complex, extensions of the administrative building (4th and 5th floors), expansion of the medical center’s 1st and 2nd floors, construction of a two-storey security office-cum-Ansar barracks, a modern gymnasium with conference facilities and horizontal expansion of the university mosque.

Professor Dr. Moniruzzaman Bahadur, Director of the Planning, Development and Works Section, confirmed that the project also includes overall infrastructure development such as internal roads, drainage systems, substations, water supply lines, deep tube wells, boundary walls, and land development within the university area.

The initiative further encompasses modernization of laboratories, offices, and IT equipment, which is expected to significantly enhance the quality of education and research at the university.

Expressing his gratitude, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Enamullah thanked the Planning Commission and all concerned agencies for approving the allocation.

“If implemented properly, this project will elevate the academic environment of HSTU to international standards,” the Vice-Chancellor added. “It will also help address housing shortages and accelerate the overall activities of the university.”
