BAUET holds scholarship and waiver committee meeting

DHAKA, Oct 30, 2025 (BSS) - The 19th meeting of the Scholarship and Waiver Committee of Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology (BAUET) was held today at the Syndicate Room of the university. 

The meeting was presided over by Vice Chancellor of BAUET, Brigadier General S. M. Lutfor Rahman, said a press release.

In the meeting, the committee recommended the awarding of scholarships and waivers worth over Taka 53 lakh to students of Summer-2024 and Fall-2024 semesters under various categories. 

These categories include financially disadvantaged but meritorious students, siblings, children of army personnel, and students who achieved GPA-5 in both SSC and HSC examinations.

The meeting was attended by Colonel (Retd.) Md. Shawkat Hossain, psc, Treasurer of BAUET; Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Science and Humanities; Professor Dr. Mohammad Nurul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; Professor Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan, Dean, Faculty of ECE; Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Department of Law and Justice; Representative of Area Headquarters Bogura Major Ivana Salvin, SSO, Qadirabad Cantonment, Md. Ashraful Islam, Deputy Registrar (Academic) and Acting Registrar; respective Heads of the Departments; and Md. Masudar Rahman, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics and Adviser Student Welfare. 

Md. Mashudar Rahman also served as the Member Secretary of the committee.
