Ordinances to be placed in JS on the first day: Salahuddin

DHAKA, Mar 01, 2026 (BSS)- Home Minister and Standing Committee Member of BNP Salahuddin Ahmed has said all the 133 ordinances promulgated by the interim government will be placed before the parliament in its very first session scheduled to begin on March 12 next.

Salahuddin said this while talking to journalists after a meeting with the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) personnel at the Home Ministry in Bangladesh Secretariat here today.

“Some of the ordinances might be accepted intact while some others might not need to accept,” he said adding Jatiya Sangsad will take final decision in this regard.

The Home Minister said the interim government had promulgated 133 ordinances and one order. Law, Justice and Parliamentary Ministry is now working to place those in the parliament, he said.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Monday summoned the first session of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad at 11:00am on March 12.
