DHAKA, March 23, 2026 (BSS) - Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Husain has ordered the sealing of Doctors Care Hospital and Diagnostic Center located in College Gate area of Shyamoli in the capital following allegations that surgeries were being conducted by fake doctors.
The minister took the prompt decision after an unannounced inspection this afternoon, during which various irregularities were found.
Arrangements were also made to quickly transfer admitted patients to other hospitals, considering their safety.
During the visit, the health minister inspected different sections of the hospital and spoke with admitted patients and their relatives.
At that time, several victims came to the hospital after hearing about the minister’s visit and alleged that they had been cheated in the name of treatment.
The minister said legal action would be taken against those involved and that monitoring of irregularities in private healthcare facilities would be further strengthened.
