12 more die of measles, like-symptoms in 24-hour

DHAKA, May 15, 2026 (BSS)- Four more children died from confirmed measles infections, while eight deaths were reported among suspected measles cases during the past 24 hours, according to daily report of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). 

The total number of deaths from confirmed measles cases has reached 74, while deaths linked to suspected measles cases stand at 377 since March 15.
A total of 1,192 suspected measles cases and 111 confirmed cases were recorded in the last 24 hours till 8am today.

A total of 40,176 children with measles symptom have been admitted to hospitals across the country since March 15. Of the suspected cases, 36,055 patients have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.
