DHAKA, June 25, 2026 (BSS) - The first Bangladesh Formula Student and Automotive Engineering Summit 2026 was held today on the campus of the 
Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) in Mirpur Cantonment.

The event was jointly organised by MIST Blitz and the Bangladesh Formula Student Community, marking the first national-level summit of its kind in the 
country's automotive engineering sector, said a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate here this evening 

Students, engineers, industry professionals and policymakers attended the summit aimed at strengthening collaboration between academia and the 
automotive industry.

Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Division (AFD) Lieutenant General Mir Mushfiqur Rahman attended the summit as the chief guest while 
MIST Commandant Major General Md Hakimuzzaman was present as chief patron, the release added.

Under the guidance of experts, the event featured technical sessions on automotive and Formula Student engineering and discussion on the development 
of the country's automotive and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) sector and car shows with the participation of the Formula Student community, 
industry professionals and senior officials.

More than 2,500 guests and visitors attended the summit.
