DHAKA, July 21, 2026 (BSS) – Professor Md. Mehedi Hasan Khan of the Department of Population Sciences has been appointed as the acting Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Dhaka University (DU).
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam made the appointment today in accordance with Article 17(2) of the First Statutes of the Dhaka University Order, 1973.
The newly appointed acting Dean has already assumed his office.
Former acting Dean of the faculty, Professor Dr. Mohammad Moinul Islam, alongside chairmen of various departments under the faculty, were present at the handover ceremony.
