
CHITTAGONG UNIVERSITY, July 21, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 5,000 students of Chittagong University (CU) submitted their Curriculum Vitaes (CVs) to 30
corporate companies during the 'CUCSU Presents Chattogram Job Fair 2026', yesterday.
This information was confirmed by CUCSU Vice President Ibrahim Hossain Roni last night. "Thirty companies participated in the Chattogram Job Fair. At the
fair, almost 5,000 students submitted their CVs," he said.
The 'CUCSU Presents Chattogram Job Fair 2026', jointly organised by CUCSU and Excellence Bangladesh, was held on Monday at Buddhijibi Chattar and the Central Shaheed Minar premises of the Chittagong University (CU).
The event brought together 30 leading corporate organisations, including PRAN-RFL Group, IFAD Group, Meghna Group, City Bank, Islami Bank Bangladesh
PLC, Pubali Bank PLC and several other companies from the manufacturing, banking and service sectors.
In this job fair, participating students received opportunities for CV submission, on-the-spot CV screening, spot interviews, career counselling,
corporate networking and direct interaction with recruiters.
They also explored and applied for full-time, part-time and internship opportunities.
Alongside the job fair, "Career Summit 2026" was held at the Faculty of Business Administration Auditorium from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The summit
featured leading corporate executives, human resource professionals, entrepreneurs and career mentors, who conducted sessions on career planning,
leadership, skill development, job preparation and future workplace opportunities.
CU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Forkan attended the summit as the chief guest.
CU Research and Publication Cell Director Prof Dr. Tanvir Mohammad Hayder Arif, Assistant General Manager and Head of Surveillance of Chittagong Stock
Exchange PLC Arif Ahmad, Human Resources Director of Kenpark Khalilur Rahman (Milton) and Chief Legal Officer of City Bank PLC Ummay Habiba Sharmin attended as the speaker.
The VC Prof Al-Forkan said, "A well-prepared and high-quality CV is a candidate's first introduction in the job market. Through a CV, employers
gain an initial impression of a candidate's academic achievements, personality, skills and ability to present themselves. Therefore, a CV should
be prepared in a way that properly reflects one's qualifications and potential."
