DHAKA, May 6, 2025 (BSS) – A total of 20,239 alleged miscreants were arrested in the last 15 days since the nationwide drive to capture miscreants started afresh to maintain law and order.

In the last 24 hours, 1676 more crime suspects were arrested, said a press release issued by the Police Headquarters this morning.

Of the arrestees, 1041 were apprehended in connection with previous cases and outstanding warrants, while 635 individuals were detained on different criminal charges.

Two pistols, one revolver and one shutter gun, two bullets and two locally made Chinese axes were seized in the last 24 hours.
