Sarjis Alam welcomes Begum Khaleda Zia on her return home

DHAKA, May 6, 2025 (BSS) - National Citizen Party (NCP) chief organizer (north) Md Sarjis Alam welcomed Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia to Bangladesh through a post uploaded on his Facebook account.

Sarjis hoped that Begum Khaleda Zia and her party BNP will work uncompromisingly to protect the democracy of Bangladesh, keeping the country's interests first.

He wished Begum Khaleda Zia's sound health and long life.

Begum Khaleda Zia today returned home from United Kingdom (UK) after treatment. She reached Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 10.43 am by a special air ambulance provided by Qatar's Emir.

Khaleda Zia's two daughters-in-law Dr Zubaida Rahman and Syeda Sharmila Rahman accompanied her. Khaleda Zia went to London for treatment on January 7.
