Ex-DB chief Rezaul Mallick made Dhaka range DIG

    DHAKA, May 7, 2025 (BSS) - Former chief of the Detective Branch (DB) of the police Rezaul Mallick has been made Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Dhaka range police.

    With the appointment, Rezaul will replace current DIG AKM Awlad Hossain.

    Awlad has been entrusted with the charge of additional inspector general (current charge) of Police 
Telecom, Dhaka. 

    The Home Ministry today issued a circular in this connection. 

    Earlier on April 11, Rezaul Mallick was attached to DMP headquarters after removing him from the post of DB chief for the interest of administrative purposes until further notice.
