DHAKA, May 7, 2025 (BSS) – The World Thalassaemia Day will be observed tomorrow in the country as well as around the world.
 
This year, the theme of the day is 'Together for Thalassaemia: Uniting Communities, Prioritizing Patients'.
 
The day is celebrated every year on May 8 with the goal of raising awareness about this disease globally. Bangladesh will celebrate the 8th World Thalassaemia Day like the previous year.
 
On the eve of the day, Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus today issued a message marking the day.
 
He urged all government and non-government organizations, media activists and civil society to join hands in combating the spread of chronic diseases.
