2 more AL men held in city

DHAKA, May 8, 2025 (BSS) - The Detective Branch (DB) of police on Wednesday arrested two members of Awami League (AL) and the banned organization Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) from different parts of the city allegedly for destabilizing the country. 

The detainees are: President of 24 no ward Awami League Sheikh Md Amir (64), and 48 no ward general secretary of the BCL Md Faisal Ahmed alias Roni (35).

Several DB teams in separate drives arrested Amir from Lalbagh and Rony from the Jatrabari area on Wednesday night , said a DB press release.
