Hasina's personal officer Mizanur on 3-day remand

DHAKA, May 08, 2025 (BSS) - A Dhaka court today placed SM Mizanur Rahman, personal officer of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, on a three-day remand in a case filed over vandalizing public offices during the mass uprising.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Partha Bhadra passed the order after the investigation officer produced him before the court with a 10-day remand prayer for proper investigation into the case.

Earlier, a team from New Market Police Station arrested Mizanur from the Science Laboratory area around 8pm on Wednesday.

Sohag Mia, a student of Dhaka University, filed the case with New Market Police Station on November 25, 2024.
 
Mizanur is also accused in multiple criminal cases on charges of extortion, tender manipulation, and patronizing subversive attacks on key point installations in Dhaka.
