PABNA, May 8, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 79 people, who sustained injuries during the July uprising, received financial assistance from the district administration today.

Pabna Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mofizul Islam handed over the cheques at a function held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office this afternoon.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Commissioner said the financial assistance was provided in accordance with government policy to support those injured during the mass upsurge in 2024.

"It is not merely assistance, rather an acknowledgment of their contribution towards the nation," he said, adding, "The administration will always stand by them, and the nation will remember them forever."

Pabna Additional Deputy Commissioner Jahangir Alam also addressed the programme.

During the event, the July fighters shared their thoughts and reaffirmed their commitment to rebuilding the country and, if needed, sacrificing their lives for the sake of the nation.
