Shamsuzzaman Dudu seeks quick polls

DHAKA, May 8, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Vice-Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu today demanded quick elections saying the sooner the election is held, the better it will be for the country. 

"The people of the country have not been able to vote for the last 16 years. BNP has been working tirelessly for years to restore their voting rights," he told a discussion organized by Jatiyatabadi Sangskritik Dal at Jatiya Press Club here.

Describing sacrifices BNP endured in the last 16-17 years, Dudu said if BNP still has to demand votes, there is nothing more shameful than this.

BNP Chairperson's adviser Abdus Salam, Krishak Dal leader SK Sadi, Desh Bachao-Manush Bachao Andolan president KM Rakibul Islam Ripon, among others, also spoke with Jatiyatabadi Sangskritik Dal president Humayun Kabir Bepari in the chair
