KHULNA, May 9, 2025 (BSS) - The Khulna city unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will launch a four-day anti-drug campaign beginning tomorrow, with activities planned across various city wards.

The campaign will kick off Saturday afternoon with a rally at Chitrali Bazar, announced city BNP president Advocate Shafiqul Alam Mona during a press conference held at the party's K D Ghosh Road office today.

Advocate Mona said the initiative aims to protect youth from drug addiction, noting that drug-related crime, including killings over disputes, has become a serious issue in Khulna.

He demanded that those involved in the drug trade be identified and brought to justice.

Stressing the need for a united social effort, he called on citizens to support the campaign and encouraged BNP leaders and activists to ensure its success.

City unit general secretary Shafiqul Alam Tuhin and other party members were also present at the briefing.
