DHAKA, May 10, 2025 (BSS)- Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman expressed his condolences on the death of renowned musician, researcher and writer Mustafa Zaman Abbasi.

In a post on his verified Facebook page today Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, "Abbasi was a member of a traditional cultural family in the cultural arena of Bangladesh, had written a golden chapter in the development of healthy cultural practices."

He prayed, "May Allah have mercy on this servant, forgive him and make ease his journey."

He also prayed that Allah grants the bereaved family, loved ones, colleagues and admirers of the deceased the strength to persevere with patience.

Mustafa Zaman Abbasi passed away this morning at the age of 87.
