BNP Standing Committee to meet tonight

DHAKA, May 10, 2025 (BSS) - BNP has called an emergency meeting of its highest policy-making forum, the National Standing Committee, at the BNP Chairperson's political office in Gulshan here at 9 pm today.

Shyrul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP Media Cell, confirmed this information to news agency BSS.

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will virtually join the meeting and preside.

Reliable BNP sources said that BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has called the emergency meeting to discuss with top leaders what the party's position will be in the wake of the ongoing 'Shahbagh Blockade' program demanding a ban on the Awami League.

The meeting will also review the current political situation.
