SUNAMGANJ, May 10, 2025 (BSS) - The district administration here today distributed cheques totaling Tk 2.3 crore among 230 individuals injured during the 2024 July Uprising.

Each recipient in the 'C' category received Tk 100,000.

The distribution ceremony was held at the Hasan Raja Auditorium of the District Shilpakala Academy, with Deputy Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Elias as chief guest.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Samar Kumar Pal presided over the event.

Police Superintendent Tofayel Ahmed, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jemis Uddin, and Additional District Magistrate Mohammad Rezaul Karim addressed the programme as special guests. The event concluded with a special prayer for the victims' recovery and national prosperity.
