Harmony Festival held in city marking Buddha Purnima

DHAKA, May 11, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Buddhist Cultural Council organized a Harmony Festival this morning on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. 

Earlier, a national peace procession was brought out from in front of the National Museum in the capital city's Shahbag. 

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan led the procession and inaugurated the Harmony Festival.

Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki attended the event as the chief guest at the event.

Bangladesh Buddhist Cultural Council President Professor Dr Uttam Kumar Barua presided over it.

European Union Ambassador to Bangladesh Michael Miller was present as the guest of honor.
