
DHAKA, Jan 21, 2026 (BSS)- AB Party Chairman Mojibur Rahman Manju has been allotted the party’s Eagle electoral symbol for the Feni-2 (Sadar) constituency.
Feni Deputy Commissioner Monira Haque handed over the symbol to him this morning.
Jamaat-e-Islami central Majlis-e-Shura member Professor Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan who withdrew his candidacy from the election to support Manju in Feni-2, along with district Jamaat Ameer Mufti Abdul Hannan, Secretary Maulana Abdur Rahim, AB Party central leader Shah Alam Badal, district convener Master Ahsanullah, member secretary Fazlul Haque, NCP district member secretary Shah Wali Ullah Manik and Khelafat Majlis leader Aziz Ullah Ahmadi, and leaders of the 10-party electoral alliance were present.
After receiving the symbol, Manju told the media that he firmly believes he will secure the people’s mandate if a free and fair election is held.
Expressing gratitude to Professor Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan, he said, “People of Feni will remember this sacrifice with respect.” Monju described Liaquat as his political mentor.
Professor Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan said he had withdrawn from the race in line with his party’s decision in the greater interest of the country and the nation.
Referring to Mojibur Rahman Manju as his own candidate, he said he would work with all his strength to ensure Manju’s victory.
Later, Manju visited the grave of July uprising martyr Shihab along with Feni-3 constituency alliance candidate Fakhruddin Manik. Leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami, AB Party, NCP and other members of the 10-party alliance were present.
Earlier in the morning, upon arriving in Feni from Dhaka, Manju exchanged greetings at Professor Liaquat Ali’s residence.
On December 29, Manju submitted his nomination paper as the 10-party alliance’s candidate for the Feni Sadar constituency.
