Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Md Rashedul Islam paid deep tribute to Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, recalling his significant contributions to initiating the country's agricultural revolution and rebuilding the rural economy.

The VC praised the initiatives taken by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, particularly highlighting the introduction of the 'Family Card' aimed at ensuring economic relief for grassroots people and the planned 'Farmer Card' to provide direct support to marginal farmers.

He said these initiatives would bring significant changes to the country's agricultural sector and create opportunities for agriculturists to become directly involved by providing technical advice and support.

Dr Rashedul Islam also urged agriculturists to play an active role in rebuilding the country and called on them to contribute with patriotism to ensure the success of the government's development initiatives.

A special prayer was offered seeking eternal peace and forgiveness for Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia and the welfare and prosperity of the country and the nation.
