DHAKA, April 05, 2026 (BSS) – The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 today set April 19 for a charge-framing hearing in a crimes against humanity case against former MP Shamim Osman and 11 others in connection with alleged atrocities in Narayanganj during the July Mass Uprising.

The two-member ICT-1 headed by Justice Golam Mortuza Mazumder passed the order this morning.

Meanwhile, the prosecution today submitted formal charge in a case filed over the murder of six people, including Chhatra Dal leader Wasim, in Chattogram, accusing 22 individuals, among them former Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud.

The tribunal’s investigation agency on April 2 submitted its probe report in the case, bringing three charges against the accused. Of the 22 accused, four — including former lawmaker ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury — are currently in jail.
