59 held in Tejgaon in 24hrs

DHAKA, Apr 5, 2026 (BSS)- As part of the ongoing efforts to combat crime and maintain public order, the Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 59 persons in the past 24 hours in connection with various criminal acts.

According to police sources, the operation was conducted on Sunday as part of routine operations across the division. 

Among those detained, 13 were arrested in connection with regular cases, six in old cases, and four under outstanding arrest warrants. 

Additionally, 36 individuals were apprehended under the DMP ordinance.

Officials stated that such drives are part of continued law enforcement efforts to suppress criminal activities and ensure a stable law and order situation in the capital.

Authorities also confirmed that these drive will continue in the coming days for further strengthening public safety.
