Navy drive recovers firearms, drug from Teknaf

DHAKA, April 27, 2026 (BSS) - A special drive by Bangladesh Navy recovered a huge supply of Yaba and foreign-made firearms from Teknaf in Cox's Bazar. 

The information was disclosed in an ISPR press release today.

According to the press release, a specialized team of Bangladesh Navy, acting on a tip off, conducted drive at Fuler Dail area under Nila union of Teknaf last night. 

During the drive, the team searched M Delwar Hossen's resident, a suspected and recovered two G-3 rifles, one MA-1 Rifle, eight pieces of Magazines, 190 rounds of live bullets and 10 rounds of empty cartridges.

28,000 pieces of Yaba were also recovered during the drive, the release reads.

The recovered items had been handed over to the respective authorities.
