MANIKGANJ, May 29, 2026 (BSS) – Ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route in the Padma River in Manikganj district resumed after an hour-long disruption due to stormy weather conditions.

Deputy General Manager of BIWTC Paturia Ghat Abdus Salam said a nor’wester hit the ghat area around 4.30 pm today, prompting authorities to suspend ferry operations to avoid any untoward incidents.

During the suspension, ferries were kept anchored at the ghats while passengers remained onboard.

Ferry movement returned to normal from 5.30 pm after the weather condition improved.
