DHAKA, June 1, 2026 (BSS) - Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has temporarily suspended its Executive Engineer Ghulam Kibria over allegations
of irregularities, corruption and abuse of power in shop allocations, management and tender-related activities at various markets under the city
corporation.

According to an official order signed by DSCC Chief Executive Officer Md Shariful Islam today, Ghulam Kibria had been serving as Executive Engineer
(current charge) of Region-7 and Executive Engineer (additional charge) of the Market Construction Cell.

The order said an investigation has been initiated following an official directive from the Local Government Division regarding allegations of
irregularities, corruption and misuse of authority in various activities of the city corporation, particularly those related to the allocation and
management of market shops.

Considering the need to keep him away from all official responsibilities of the corporation until completion of a full investigation and departmental
