CHATTOGRAM. June 22, 2026 (BSS) - Information Secretary Mahbuba Farzana here today called upon all officials concerned to acquire proper knowledge and tactics on how to conduct the government interest related cases.
She made the call while inaugurating through on-line a day-long workshop on “ Tactics and requirements on how to write Statement of Facts ( SF) and relevant laws and rules for conducting cases” .
The workshop was held at the Conference Room of Chattogram Deputy Commissioner.
Speaking at the event, the Information Secretary said government law officials must acquire proper knowledge and learn the strategies on how to maneuver a case so that its judgment comes in favor of the government.
“Concern law officials’ role is crucial in conducting and handling litigations involves with government. Because, sometimes government loses in some cases although there are strong and justified grounds in favor of the government,” she observed.
She said the government law officials should have to work with sense of belongings so that government can win the cases related to bigger public interest.
She called upon them to learn how to write properly a submission and counter to the plaintiff’s arguments adopting the existing laws, rules and regulations side by side past references.
Information Secretary hoped that the participants in the workshop would acquire the updated knowledge on latest laws and regulations and will play an effective in protecting the public properties and assets.
The daylong work was conducted by Additional Secretary (Development ) of the Ministry of Information Md Shah Alam , Joint Secretary Dr. Md Alam Mostafa , Law Officer and District & Session Judge Masud Pervej .
Officials of the departments under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in Chattogram Administrative division including Department of Information , Department of Mass Communication , Bangladesh Betar , Bangladesh Television , Chattogram Center participated in the workshop.
Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Md Zahidul Islam Meah made welcome address at the inaugural session.
